Department of Landscape

 

The Department of Landscape is conducting a short research project alongside the Moorland Wonderscape Eco-Arts Project. Benefiting from a University of Sheffield OnCampus student placement, this project aims to find out whether having the Peak District on their doorstep means that Sheffield residents regularly spend time there. The student researcher will conduct short questionnaires with people both at the Moorland Centre, Edale and in a city park in Sheffield, under the supervision of Dr Nicola Dempsey.

 

Nicola says: "It is a very exciting opportunity for us to be working with Madeleina and the Moors for the Future Partnership. Projects like these are invaluable for getting people who might never consider going out into the countryside to experience new landscapes - and hopefully to come back over and over again!".
