The Second Crisis Workshop.

On Monday 17th August I ran a second workshop for members from the housing charity Crisis. The group came out from Sheffield on Sheffield transport mini-buses. From the Edale Village Hall car park we made our way up to the Moorland Visitor Centre where staff gave a presentation and some information on local environmental conservation projects. The group were really interested and asked lots of questions about the wildlife. We then set out for a walk up to the nab (although a few group members decided to turn back and wait for the rest of the group in Cooper's Cafe when they saw how steep it was!) On the way up, some of the group raced to the top, and although some members struggled more with the difficult climb, they persevered and made it to the top. Everyone snapped lots of photos of the wildlife on the walk and the whole group stopped to admire a solitary bee colony nestled in the footpath. Once we had made it back to the village and met up with the rest of the group, they all had lunch in Cooper's Cafe, followed by a workshop in the village hall. Everyone had a go at the artwork and they made some beautiful work for the exhibition. A big thank you to all the members and staff for coming along.
