Art in Crisis Festival

Crisis, the charity for homeless and vulnerably housed individuals ran a two-week arts festival from the 7th-21st September at the Moor Theatre Delicatessen in Sheffield City Centre. The Moorland Wonderscape exhibition was on display alongside work from the charities many other workshops and arts projects. They also offered free drop-in arts sessions every day for the two-weeks, including; Origami, Jewellery, Music Tech, TV Acting, Creative Writing and many more. The launch was held on Monday 7th September and it gave me the opportunity to talk about the workshops I had run with Crisis over the summer. All of the art work in the exhibition was showcased at the event, there was also live music and creative writing performances as well as a short theatrical piece written and performed by Crisis members. It was a fantastic evening and a brilliant two-weeks - a massive "Hats-Off" to Kellie Gamble the Crisis Arts co-ordinator for organising the event.
